PROGRAM: Creating Printed Circuit Boards
Mike Dunn, KG7WFV will be giving a presentation entitled "How to fabricate Printed Circuit Boards, or: How I learned to stop worrying, and love SMD components" .
Mike is an IT consultant with 20+ years of experience in IT storage and systems administration. First licensed in 2015, Mike enjoys working on projects that integrate electronics with computer systems and amateur radio.
Mikes' presentation will explore why the radio amateur might decide to create a printed circuit board and how this can be accomplished. With affordable access to modern PCB prototyping services, electronics enthusiasts need no longer be hung up on archaic fabrication processes of old. Mike will demonstrate how modern Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools simplify the design process, making PCB fabrication practical for most any project.
